Curriculum
Eight modules that build on each other, from first steps to a finished capstone project.
What UX and UI really mean
Design thinking, the difference between user experience and interface design, and how designers work with developers and clients.
User research
Interviews, short surveys, personas and journey maps. You speak to real users about a real problem.
Information architecture and flows
Organise content, plan navigation and map the steps a user takes to finish a task.
Sketching and wireframing
Fast paper sketches, then low-fidelity wireframes that focus on layout and priority.
Visual design
Type scales, colour, grids, spacing and contrast. Design that is easy to read on a cheap phone in bright sunlight.
Prototyping in Figma
Components, variants, auto layout and interactive prototypes you can put in someone's hands.
Usability testing and iteration
Run a test, watch where people struggle, fix it and test again.
Case study and handoff
Write up your process, prepare files for developers and present your work to the cohort.
Projects you will build
Real work for your portfolio, reviewed by your mentor.
Mobile app flow redesign
Pick a local service app, find a pain point through research and redesign the flow.
Website for a community organisation
Design a mobile-first site for a real nonprofit or small business brief.

UI/UX Design course FAQ
More questions? Contact us or call +254 782 137 201.
Do I need to be good at drawing?
No. UX design is about solving problems for people. Sketches only need to be clear enough to share an idea; most of the polished work happens in Figma.
Do I need to know how to code?
No coding is required. We do show you how designs become code, so your work is practical for developers to build.
Which software will I use?
Mainly Figma, which runs in the browser and has a free plan, so you can keep practising after the course.
What will my portfolio include?
At least one full case study showing research, wireframes, final screens and testing, plus your shorter course projects.
Can I combine UI/UX with another track?
Yes. Many learners pair it with WordPress & Web Design or Digital Marketing. Select more than one track on the application form.
